Didi Hopkins

Actor/Director/Commedia Practitioner Didi Hopkins met Carlo Boso many years ago and has been hooked on commedia ever since. She worked on ‘One Man Two Guvnors’ at the NT, numerous Restoration Comedies (RSC) and last year directed Miles Jupp in ‘The Life I Lead’ which went into the West End. All Commedia – as she has proved that Commedia Works. Everywhere.

As a practitioner and director of Commedia, Didi has directed seasonal troupes for the National Theatre’s summer season, Tate Modern, Tate Britain, Roundhouse, Glastonbury, other festivals and public spaces across London, and teaches Commedia for the London International Mime Festival, Theatre Schools E15, Central and RHUL, Middlesex. She also runs workshops in Europe, India, the USA, Iceland for actors and teachers.
