Funny woman Caroline Dream, is the author of ‘The Clown In You’, a leading reference in the world of clown and clown pedagogy. On sunday she is interviewed by Sascha Goslin on Clown Power Live.

Caroline Dream:

Caroline has performed in festivals and theaters throughout Spain with her shows “Footless” and “Just Say Yes!” and with Alex Navarro in “Niu Adventurs”, as well as throughout Europe with “Primigenio” with Cia. Teatro de Pronto

She’s a graduate of the University of Exeter (UK) with a B.A in Theatre and trained at Fooltime Circus School (Bristol, UK) and with performance legends including Dario Fo, Nola Rae, Michel Dallaire, Eric de Bont, Avner The Eccentric, Bim Mason, David Glass and Carlo Bosso.

Caroline has taught clown since 1998 throughout Spain and internationally in New York & Las Vegas U.S.A. for Cirque du Soleil artists, in Portugal, Germany, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Peru, Mexico and Colombia. She’s taught more than 250 courses for over 4000 students and also teaches Corporate Clown Training workshops.

He co-founded circus theatre company Ra-Ra Zoo in 1984. He holds the world record for spinning 108 dinner plates at once and started a new career as a circus community builder in April 2020: he says he’s been training for the role all his life.

Who’s who?

Olly Crick:

Olly has been a juggler in Covent Garden, a circus trainer at Fooltime, an FE teacher in Hereford, and taught Commeida at RADA, LAMDA and the Guildford School of Acting . He has co-authored a book on Commedia, co-edited ‘The Routledge Companion to Commedia dell’Arte’ and recently gained a PhD in it too. He has performed with the Unfortunati and The Fabulous Lancashire revels. He was lucky enough to perform one year at Venice Carnival under Carlo Boso. He ran The Fabulous Old Spot Theatre Company between 2004 and 2014, touring Commedia to community venues in Gloucestershire. He believes that every County of City should have its own Commedia troupe, performing comedy about local issues with locally recognizable comic types.

Chiara D’Anna

Chiara is a director, performer and movement specialist. As Artistic Director at Panta Rei Theatre her mission is to inspire, challenge and entertain her audiences with humour, irony and striking imagery. Her productions are a unique mix of physical theatre, dark surreal comedy, political satire and a contemporary ‘reinterpretation’ of the Masks of Commedia dell’Arte. She has a PhD on the legacy of Commedia dell’Arte in Postdramatic Theatre. She teaches at Rose Bruford College, RADA, East 15 Acting School, Goldsmiths University and the Accademia dell’Arte in Arezzo, Italy.
